Phase 1 completes at Woking Homes

The Trustees and residents at Woking Homes celebrated a major milestone with the completion of the first phase of a new accommodation wing of Grace Groom House in January 2010.

Woking Homes is a residential home for the elderly, who have railway or other transport related backgrounds, and has operated from its current site for over 50 years.

This redevelopment is being managed by Project Techniques and forms a major part of a programme of continuous improvements for the buildings and facilities. It will provide 18 state of the art residential suites which will exceed national minimum standards of accommodation.

The Trustees appointed Project Techniques in 2007 initially to obtain planning approval and then to oversee the design, procurement and construction works. Neilcott Construction are carrying out the building work under a Design and Build contract.
